This gathering is to slow down and listen to a single album as if it were a movie or play.

The act of listening to music has transformed so much in my lifetime alone. Walkmans to Discmans to mp3s to spotify where nearly any song in the world is at our fingertips.  When was the last time you listened to an album all the way through, in one sitting? Not on in the background while running errands or multitasking, but just listened. 

It is so easy to skip around to our favorite songs from different musicians but many artists curate the track list of their albums very carefully, each song leading into the next. I want to listen as the artist intended, all the way through, in one sitting. 

Join us. Bring a blanket/chair/hammock. There is a covered area so the music will play rain or shine. Pack a snack or beverage and come party. I will play one highlighted album that we will gather together and listen to, afterwards hang out and enjoy the tunes, music will keep playing until about 10pm.

Come early if you missed the highlighted album from the last gathering. 

5:30pm - Last gathering's featured album
6pm-ish - music starts
7pm-ish - the featured album will go on
